Frequency Allocation

A frequency application is made to get the frequency spot for the license holder. The D/L states the frequency spot that has been granted to the license holder for broadcast eg: 90.4 MHz, 9.08 MHz, and 104.8 MHz.

It is also important for the applicants to note that the online applications to be made to MoCIT are to be made using only internet explorer as a browser. The Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing’s (WPC) website is not compatible with any other browser. It is also important to note that at the time of frequency application the same map that has been submitted at the time of Community, Radio Application may be provided.

Collect the details required to be filled in the frequency application form online, register on the WPC website www.wpc.dot.gov.in and fill out the frequency application.

Save the frequency application and acknowledgment on a word document and make 2 copies.

Make a set of all the documents and the frequency application and acknowledgment and get it signed and sealed by the organization and submit it to:

The Assistant Wireless Advisor (Frequency Section) WPC Wing, 6th Floor, Dept. of Telecommunications & IT, Sanchar Bhawan, 20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi – 110001.

Note: This Process takes time but we have a great relationship with WPC officials. Due to this good relationship,  Mark helps their clients to get frequency allocation in a limited time period.

The permit holder has permission to launch the Community Radio Station only after the receipt of this licence.
